The Kimball Theatre

Located in Merchants Square, the Kimball Theatre is home to current films and live performances. On any given day, you might see a Colonial Williamsburg interpreter portray Patrick Henry or enjoy a jazz ensemble of talented students from the College of William and Mary. Perhaps the Peninsula's Jewish Film Festival is in town, or maybe you'll see players performing an 18th-century Grand Medley of Entertainments. Whatever your tastes, the Kimball Theatre is at the center of Williamsburg's community activities. Creative programming alliances with the College of William and Mary, community organizations, and Colonial Williamsburg link our past with the present.

March 13, 2010 4:15 PM

Shows at 4:15 and 6:45 p.m.
Rated: R

In Werner Herzog’s new film, Nicolas Cage plays a rogue detective who is as devoted to his job as he is to scoring drugs while playing fast and loose with the law. He wields his badge and his gun to get his way. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, he becomes a high-functioning addict as well as a deeply intuitive, fearless detective who roams through the beautiful ruins of New Orleans with authority and abandon.

Complicating his tumultuous life is a prostitute, played by Eva Mendes, and together they descend into their own world marked by desire, compulsion, and conscience. Nicolas Cage won Best Actor at the 2009 Toronto Film Critics Association Awards. Mar. 8, 10, 12–14 screening room. 121 mins.

Hard Day's Night, the Band - a Beatles Tribute Band in Concert

March 13, 2010 7:30 PM

All seats $10

Come experience a show that will transport you back in time. Take an exciting and nostalgic trip back to when things were a bit less complicated. A time that saw four lads from Liverpool, England, create both a musical and social revolution that affects our lives and the way we listen to music even today! There will never be another BEATLES. Hard Day’s Night, the Band, respects this, in fact, holds their legend in the highest regard while performing their live shows.

The band strongly encourages, will actually demand, that you clap, sing along, do “whatever” moves you (yet does not hurt the person beside you)! This show is one you will not soon forget.
